About the Role:
The Social Worker will play a key role in promoting student well-being and removing barriers to learning through supportive interventions and services. Youll collaborate closely with school staff, students, and families to help ensure a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct social-emotional services to students as identified through IEPs or behavioral support plans

Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and case notes in compliance with district and legal guidelines

Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop intervention strategies

Support student development, resilience, and academic engagement through counseling and behavioral support

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations governing school-based mental health services
Qualifications:

Valid Michigan School Social Worker License or eligibility to obtain

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

Experience working in a K-12 school environment or with children/adolescents is preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
